I am a civil engineer, dad, husband, and play around with photography. I have retired once and have been at my current job 8 years. Photography is my escape from work and chores.
I am often somewhere: learning, reviewing, working on my webpage or thinking about my next trip or purchase. When traveling, watching my kids participate in sports,
or when the mood hits me, I am out taking pictures.

Welcome to my website. I do not do photography as a profession, it is a hobby. I became most interested around 9th grade after taking a graphic arts class. I used to read Popular Photography and dream about buying a camera.
I started with a range finder before getting a Vivitar 220 SL. A year or so before graduating high school, I got an Olympus OM10.
I took pictures for the school newspaper and year book. To become further invested in the hobby, a friend and I setup a darkroom at his house.
After graduating college, I got a used Olympus OM 4 from a local camera store. That lasted me many years before I went digital. A Nikon D100 was my first digital camera.
While programming is also a hobby, I like to think I have gotten better at web design over the years.
