Rangers Game with Coworkers

2nd time in Dallas

Not including connecting flights, I’ve been to Texas three times—Dallas twice. My first visit was in the fall of 1989, when I went to see a college friend. My now‑wife and I did the touristy things, and I also attended my first NFL game: Cowboys vs. Giants, during Troy Aikman’s rookie season. My friend lived in Flower Mound, a suburb of Dallas. One evening we went to Trail Dust Steakhouse in Fort Worth for dinner, where we witnessed the famous tie‑cutting tradition. Photos from that trip were taken on slide film, and I plan to scan and add a few of them to this page.

My second trip to Dallas was for a Culture and Philosophy training program for new senior hires. The sessions were held at the American Airlines training campus in Dallas. There wasn’t much time for personal activities, but a few of us managed to sneak away to catch a Rangers game.
